We launched Noterro Insurance back in January 2021 as a Beta feature at no cost, and it’s helped streamline the insurance claim process for countless clinics. Today, Noterro Insurance is used to process thousands of claims. In Canada, Noterro Insurance integrates with TELUS eClaims. In the US, Noterro Insurance generates HCFA 1500 forms, Superbills, and soon will submit electronic claims via Availity. In order to keep up the pace of new insurance features, and align pricing with value more accurately, Noterro Insurance has become an optional add-on.
As of February 15, 2022, the Insurance suite of features has become an optional add-on, priced at $15/month. For clinics like yours, who have been using the insurance features, we’ve credited your account with the insurance add-on for free for an additional 6 months.
Do I need to do anything?
If you intend on subscribing to the Insurance add-on feature, then you don’t have to do anything. Your clinic already has the add-on enabled. After August 15, 2022, on your next renewal date, you will be billed for the Insurance add-on going forward.
If you do not intend on subscribing to the Insurance add-on feature, then you must disable it before August 15, 2022.
To disable the Insurance add-on feature, click on the settings icon (gear), and under the Subscription heading click on Add-ons.
Which features are part of the Insurance add-on?
The primary features of the Insurance add-on include managing insurers, codes, policies, claims, insurance payments, TELUS eClaims integration, HCFA 1500 forms, and Superbills. The “Legacy Insurance” fields, stored on the patient’s profile, are not part of the insurance add-on and will continue to be available for clinics who don’t subscribe to the add-on.
What will happen to invoices which have claims on them if I don’t subscribe to the Insurance add-on?
You will continue to be able to access these invoices and the claim details. However, you will not be able to add additional claims or insurance codes to invoices.
