Billing Features are Approaching: A few things to know 

We’re super excited about the approaching billing system updates!  Our target is a late-April launch!   There are a few things to keep in mind and items to do in order to make this a seamless transition.


Separation of SOAP notes and Billing
Currently, SOAP notes and billing are directly connected. Once rolled out, Invoices/Receipts and Payments will be separate entities from SOAP notes.  This will solve many challenges associated with having 1 receipt per SOAP note and tracking payments.


Services are required for Receipts
Each service will be available to be added as individual line items on an invoice.  In order to create receipts, you will need to create services and their different durations.  Be sure to add your services well in advance, otherwise, you won’t be able to create receipts.


How to add a Service

  1. Login as Admin.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Services.
  4. Click Add Category to add your first category of services.
  5. Enter the name of the category and click Save.
  6. Click Add Service to add the first service.
  7. You will see a dialog containing the following fields.  Add the name, description and as many durations as you like.


Have you created your Clinic and Practitioner Taxes yet?
Back in early February, we released the ability to setup your Clinic and Practitioner taxes.  Be sure to also have these setup in advance, otherwise, you won’t be able to add taxes to your line items.  Here is a helpful article and short video if you get stuck.
