Ellexis Lathan completed her education at Sheridan College and graduated as a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2018. Her pathway has led her to work with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Ottawa REDBLACKS, Skate Canada, Ontario Cycling BMX, University of Ontario Technology and Durham College. Ellexis's passion for therapy makes rehab easy and enjoyable. She finds that an informed patient is an engaged patient and looks forward to making sure the patients are well educated about their condition and treatment plan.
Athletic Therapy isn't just for athletes, it is about devoting yourself to an active rehabilitation program. Very similar to Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapists undertake 4 years of Musculoskeletal and Emergency training. They can help with pre and post surgical care of various injuries which can include but not limited to, knee replacement surgery, subacromial decompaction surgery, disc herniations, acute/chronic low back pain, concussions, muscle strains, ligament sprains, bursitis and on-going joint problems. An Athletic Therapists background is strong in anatomy and hands on treatment but is well complimented with specific exercises to treat the patient not just the condition. Your treatment plan will compliment you and your lifestyle.
Ellexis Lathan is continuing her education in Massage Therapy and Canadian Sport Massage Therapy. COMING SOON!
When she isn't in the clinic you can find her volunteering her time at local sporting events, out in the trails with her dog Henry, and biking with family and friends.
