Managing Clinical Note Privacy Settings

Clinical notes have three privacy settings. Remember that the Admin always has access to clinical notes, regardless of the privacy settings. These settings only apply to the default clinical note privacy setting on newly created notes. Changing the default clinical note privacy setting will not change the previous setting of existing notes.

All Staff: Share the note with the clinic's staff, including Assistants.

All Practitioners: Share the note with all Practitioners in the clinic.

Author Only: Only the Practitioner listed on the note can access it.

  1. Log in as a Practitioner.
  2. Click your Profile Picture or Initials in the top right header.
  3. Click on Charting.
  4. Scroll to the Clinical Note Access section.
  5. Select the Privacy Setting.

Important Note: You can always change the privacy of notes you can access.

Snippets

Noterro Snippets allow you to specify a shortcut replaced with either words, sentences, or full paragraphs. Snippets are Practitioner-specific and will auto-populate the content into a note using the keyboard shortcut you created. The Snippets you create will automatically be added to the Snippets library, and other Practitioners in your clinic can access this list and add them to their library.
